Definition of Country Music:

1) A form of popular music originating in the rural southern US. It is traditionally a mixture of ballads and dance tunes played characteristically on fiddle, guitar, steel guitar, drums, and keyboard



Country Music


Country Music is a popular 'American musical' style which began in rural Southern United States in1920s. Country music often consists of ballads and dance tunes, with harmonies played with mainly string instruments. Instruments include; banjoes, some electric and mainly acoustic guitars, fiddles, piano and harmonicas.

Pros and Cons of Country Music

Pros:

- Upbeat tune.

- Has happy and cheerful connotations.

- Different dialect of artists voice which we can hear throughout country music.

Cons:

- Mainly has similar topic/theme throughout (e.g. Love).
